Winston-Salem DSA is proud to endorse two fearless democratic socialists, Kyah Creekmore and Mir Yarfitz, in their campaigns for the U.S. House of Representatives. They’re ready to take the fight for working people from North Carolina to Washington. 🌹Kyah Creekmore is running in North Carolina’s 5th Congressional District. An aggie and grassroots organizer, Kyah isn’t running to fit in with a political establishment that serves big-money donors over voters. He’s running to hold it accountable, to expose the corruption and backroom deals that betray working families. His campaign is a promise to shine a bright light on power and fight relentlessly for living wages, corporate accountability, and a government that serves its constituents, not its checkbooks. 🌹Mir Yarfitz is running in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. A professor, organizer, and co-founder of Fuerza Triad, Mir has spent decades organizing with labor unions, tenant unions, and immigrant rights movements across the globe. As a democratic socialist, Mir will take that fight to Congress to tax the rich to fund universal services, protect our immigrant communities from state violence, and champion housing and healthcare as human rights.
